Police and EMS Respond to Injured Passenger After Being Ejected From A Vehicle During A Serious Motor Vehicle Crash at West Church Street

On Thursday 4/28/11 at approximately 4:29 pm, Gloucester Township Police were dispatched to West Church Street in the area of Blackwood Lake for a report of a serious motor vehicle crash.
Arriving officers located a single vehicle that had overturned after it had left the roadway. The female passenger was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. She was stabilized by Gloucester Township EMS Alliance personnel and transported by helicopter to Cooper Hospital in Camden City.
The female is reported to be in stable but critical condition at this time. The driver was treated at the scene and released. The roadway was closed for approximately four hours during the investigation.
This crash is under investigation by the Gloucester Township Police Serious Crash Investigation Team.
